Nina F. Schor, MD, PhD
Dr. Schor is currently the Deputy Director of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke at the National Institutes of Health. For 11 years, she served as Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester and Pediatrician-in-Chief of its Golisano Children’s Hospital. She was President of the Child Neurology Society from 2013-2015 and Secretary of the American Neurological Association from 2009-2013. As an ABPN Director, Dr. Schor serves on the Neurology Council and as Chair of the MOC Pilot Project Committee-Child Neurology. She is Vice Chair of the Committee on MOC Examination-Child Neurology, the Certification Examination Combined Committee-Clinical Child Neurology Subcommittee, the Professionalism Committee and the Research Award Committee. Dr. Schor also serves on the Review Appeals-Neurology, Conflict of Interest, Research and Development and Maintenance of Certification Committees and is a liaison to the CNS. She currently serves on the Science Committee of the AAN as a Federal Liaison to the Committee. She was previously a member of the Science Committee of the AAN from 2009-2015 and the NINDS NST-1 Study Section from 2008-2015. She is also an elected Fellow of the AAAS. Dr. Schor’s research program was been continuously nationally funded from 1989-2017 and focused on the design and preclinical testing of targeted therapies for neuroblastoma.
