Jeffrey M. Lyness, MD
Dr. Lyness is Professor of Psychiatry and Neurology and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. At Rochester, he formerly served as Associate Chair for Education and Director of the Geriatric Psychiatry Program in Psychiatry, as Director of (medical student) Curriculum, and as Medical Director for Continuing Medical Education. He is a Past President of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry. A fellow of the American College of Psychiatrists, he serves on the Steering Committee of the Association of American Medical Colleges’ Group on Faculty Affairs, for which he also chairs the Program Planning Subcommittee. As an ABPN Director, Dr. Lyness serves on the Psychiatry Council and Chairs the Certification Examination Combined Committee-Clinical Psychiatry Subcommittee and the Geriatric Psychiatry Steering Committee. Dr. Lyness is Vice Chair of Certification Examination Combined Committee-Psychiatry. He also serves on the Credentials-Psychiatry, Finance, Investment, Irregular Behavior, Conflict of Interest, Research and Development and Technology and Information Committees. Dr. Lyness is also on the Task Force on Pool Question Reclassification-Psychiatry and serves as a liaison to ABMS HPPC and AAGP.
