Allison Brashear, MD, MBA
Dr. Brashear is Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurology at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. She also holds the Walter C. Teagle Chair of Neurology. She has also served as the Interim Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Wake Forest School of Medicine. As an ABPN Director, Dr. Brashear serves as Board Member-at-Large, on the Neurology Council and as Chair of the Strategic Planning and MOC Examination-Neurology Committees. She is Vice Chair of the Research and Development, Faculty Innovation in Education Award and the Certification Examination Combined-Neurology Committees and the Certification Examination Combined-Clinical Neurology Subcommittee. She also serves on committees for Finance, Investment, Review Appeals-Neurology, Irregular Behavior and Maintenance of Certification. Dr. Brashear is also the ABPN liaison to LCNS, AUPN and ANA. She has also served on the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Board of Directors, the American Neurological Association Board of Directors, and the Association of University Professors of Neurology Board of Directors. Dr. Brashear is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine and Duke University School of Business. She trained in Neurology at IU School of Medicine where she was a professor before joining Wake Forest as the Department of Neurology Chair.
