Steven L. Lewis, MD
Dr. Lewis is the Chief of Neurology at the Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where he holds the Timothy M. Breidegam Endowed Chair in Neurology. As an ABPN Director, Dr. Lewis serves on the Neurology Council and as Chair of the committees for Core Competencies, Continuing Certification Pilot Project-Neurology, Technology and Information, Neurocritical Care Steering and Vascular Neurology Steering. He is Chair of the Certification Examination Combined-Behavioral Neurology, Cognition and Psychiatry Subcommittee and Vice Chair of the Certification Examination Combined-Neurology Committee. In addition, Dr. Lewis also serves on the Communications, Credentials-Neurology, Alternative Pathways Oversight, Strategic Planning, Continuing Certification Committees and the Continuing Certification Product Review Subcommittee. He is on the Task Force on Pool Question Reclassification-Neurology/Child Neurology. He is also the liaison to the AAN UCNS. Dr. Lewis is a past Chair of the Neurology Residency Review Committee for the ACGME, served as Chair of the Neurology Milestones Working Group and Advisory Group for the Neurology Milestone Project, a joint initiative of the ACGME and the ABPN, and currently serves on the Neurology Milestones 2.0 Working Group. He is Editor-in-Chief of Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology for the AAN. Dr. Lewis is an Elected Trustee of the World Federation of Neurology (WFN), Chair of the WFN Education Committee, and serves as the Editor of World Neurology. In 2019, Dr. Lewis was the recipient of the A.B. Baker Award for Lifetime Achievement in Neurologic Education from the AAN.
