All ABPN time-limited certificates, regardless of their exact dates of issuance, are considered to expire ten years later on December 31. The system will allow diplomates to view their certification status and expiration dates to help in planning their MOC activities. It is expected that employers will utilize the system as a credentialing resource for Board-certification verification. The public will also be able to search for Board-certified physicians by specialty, city, and state as provided by the diplomate. The ABPN encourages all diplomates to submit recent address changes to the Board to facilitate functions of this system. Read more details on ABPN's Maintenance of Certification program.
