Notices
The late fee for receipt of applications for the 2010 Maintenance of Certification in Psychiatry examination has been waived. The total fee of $1500 ($700 non-refundable application fee, $800 examination fee) must be received with the application and must be received in the Board office by November 1, 2009. Applications received after November 1, 2009 will not be accepted and will be returned. We encourage you to apply early. If there are any questions about this information, please contact the Credentials Department at 847-229-6510.
Canadian Reciprocity Program
Canadian Reciprocity program extended to 2012. Physicians entering residency training in psychiatry or neurology (PGY-2) on or after July 1, 2001, or child neurology (PGY-3) on or after July 1, 2002, may apply to the ABPN for examination ONLY if they:
- Complete their training in a Canadian program accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
AND - Achieve certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
AND - Possess an unrestricted license to practice medicine in a Canadian province.
